Elbit Systems Receives Supply Contract from Lockheed Martin for the F-35 Aircraft<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Elbit Systems Ltd. informed that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Elbit Systems \u2013 Cyclone Ltd., was awarded a contract by Lockheed Martin for the manufacture of assemblies for Forward Equipment Bay assemblies for the F-35. The contract is in an amount that is not material to Elbit Systems and will be performed over a period of four-years. The contract calls for Elbit Systems to supply assemblies for the F-35\u2019s Forward Equipment Bay \u2013 made from composite materials and the associated structures \u2013 f \u2026\u2026.<\/p>\n

BASF\u2019s Ultrasim Simulation for Elastomers<\/a><\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
BASF expands the application range of its simulation tool Ultrasim. The CAE tool also calculates component concepts based on elastomers, especially Elastollan, BASF\u2019s thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). The simulation covers the entire process chain from initial processing to the mechanical properties of the final product. Among the special features of the simulation with Ultrasim are options to simulate both the initial load and cyclic loads of a component. Mr. Ishii will transition to Toray\u2019s Torayca division, where he will serve as the Assistant General Manager. Owens Corning Elects Alfred Festa to Board of Directors<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Owens Corning informed that Alfred (Fred) E. Festa, former Chairman of W.R. Grace & Co., has been elected to the company\u2019s Board of Directors. Mr. Festa served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of W.R. Grace & Co., a leading global producer of specialty chemicals and materials, from 2008 to 2018, and non-executive Chairman from 2018 to 2019. Hexcel Congratulates Northrop Grumman on Successful GEM 63XL Test<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Hexcel Corporation congratulates Northrop Grumman on the successful test firing of the GEM 63XL motor in August. Hexcel advanced composite materials support the GEM 63XL solid rocket motor, which will provide additional lift capability to the Vulcan Centaur vehicle. The GEM 63XL increases thrust and performance by 15-20 percent compared to a standard GEM 63. Hexcel is also proud to be a supplier for the GEM 63 solid rocket motor.
