Hexion Inc. to Sale Three Resin Businesses to Black Diamond and Investindustrial<\/a><\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Hexion Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Phenolic Specialty Resin, Hexamine and European-based Forest Products Resins businesses for approximately $425 million to Black Diamond and Investindustrial. The consideration consists of $335 million in cash and certain assumed liabilities with the remainder in future proceeds based on the performance of the business. Chem-Trend participated in the development of a new preform coating system (PCS). This system enables preforms to be accurately sprayed directly after the injection-molding process. The solution was developed by Bonino Group in collaboration with Chem-Trend and Steidle. The system is installed directly after the injection-molding machine and before the soft-drop or Octabin. It is designed to spray only the body of the preforms with extreme precision without applying any coating agent on the t \u2026\u2026.<\/p>\n

Long-Term Supply Agreement between Cabot Corporation and ADES<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Cabot Corporation informed that its subsidiary, Cabot Norit Americas, Inc., has entered into a long-term supply agreement with ADA Carbon Solutions (Red River), LLC, a producer of lignite-based activated carbon and a subsidiary of Advanced Emissions Solutions, Inc. Under the supply agreement, ADA will manufacture and supply Cabot Norit\u2019s proprietary portfolio of lignite-based activated carbon products exclusively to Cabot Norit. TFP Global introduces a couple of new developments \u2013 lightweight veils designed for high temperature performance in composites. These new polyimide and basalt veils are part of TFP\u2019s OPTIVEIL range and have been developed specifically to expand TFP\u2019s selection of high temperature materials. The polyimide veil is the highest temperature stable polymer veil that TFP manufacture, with a maximum service temperature of above 260\u00b0C \u2013 significantly higher than other polymers, such as polyester and P \u2026\u2026.<\/p>\n
