Huntsman Corporation commemorated the official start-up of a new 22,000-ton TEROL aromatic polyester polyols plant at its systems house in Kuan Yin, Taiwan, with an opening ceremony at the site. The 3,600-square meter polyols plant expands Huntsman\u2019s downstream polyurethanes capabilities in the Asia Pacific region and marks the first time Huntsman has manufactured its TEROL polyols outside the United States. Johns Manville (JM) launched VVSD (very, very small diameter) Spiracoustic Plus spiral duct liner. This product is the first of its kind, engineered specifically for smaller diameter spiral duct applications, with outer diameters ranging from 6 to 8 inches. The insulation is offered in 1-inch thickness only and is the newest addition to the Spiracoustic Plus portfolio. Based on JM\u2019s proprietary fiberglass board technology, Spiracoustic Plus duct liner has factory-made, evenly spaced kerfs to \u2026\u2026.<\/p>\n

Continental Structural Plastics, Inapal Components Reduce Weight, Complexity for New Luxury SUV in Europe<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Inapal Plasticos, Continental Structural Plastics\u2019 operations in Portugal, will be manufacturing a number of lightweight, low-density sheet molded compound (SMC) components for a premium luxury auto maker\u2019s first SUV. These 11 components, ranging from under hood to underbody and Class A components, will reduce part complexity and overall vehicle weight. Hexcel Corporation reported third quarter 2020 results, including net sales of $286.9 million and adjusted diluted EPS of ($0.29) per share. Chairman, CEO and President Nick Stanage said, \u201cIn the third quarter of 2020, Hexcel faced significant headwinds resulting from the current unprecedented decline in demand impacting our industry.
