In order to meet the electric vehicle targets set out by the Chinese government, it is vital that car manufacturers are able to access the latest information on the development of commercially viable new joining technologies and participate in the evolving discussion around the joining of dissimilar materials to effectively integrate the battery system and meet the specific safety and structural requirements of electric vehicles.

The 3rd Global Lightweight Materials Asia conference returns to Shanghai this year on 31st July- 1st August. Part of the widely renowned GALM series, the 2018 event will feature case studies on successful practical applications of new joining and simulation technologies, including real-world insights and results from OEMs in Asia, Europe and USA.
