Injection moulding has recently demonstrated to be a suitable high-volume technology for the net-shape production of bonded magnets.

In this process, polyamides are commonly used as a binder, representing the matrix for the intermetallic magnetic powder in the injection moulded composite. Polyamides are favourably used in this application due to their good corrosion resistance, high dimensional stability, and light weight.
