2-Day Classroom and Practical Training Course

Our popular Two-day Classroom & Practical Course training course is specifically designed to give a broad introduction to polymer composites and provides you with the necessary background knowledge to enable informed discussions with customers, colleagues and collaborators.

The course aims to provide a gentle but thorough introduction to composite materials – how they work, how they are made, what they are used for, and what advantages (and disadvantages) they can bring. This includes a number of “hands-on” sessions in which delegates will mould simple components under the guidance of our experienced staff using a variety of different production techniques. By the end of the course, all attendees will understand the basics of what a composite material is, what ingredients go into making a composite and how composite materials are converted into finished parts. Introductions to wider aspects such as market segments, repair and design are also covered.

Coronavirus Update

The health and wellbeing of our staff and training delegates is our number one priority. We are following UK Government advice on social distancing and hygiene, and we expect all of our training delegates to do the same. The maximum number of delegates on each course has been reduced to help ensure that two-metre social distancing can be maintained during both classroom and practical elements of the course. For Workshop-based training where social distancing would not be possible (such as DMA and mechanical testing) a live video alternative will be provided.
