| Agoria Composites has been working hard behind the scenes to reinvent itself and give a fresh impetus to the organization. First task that needed to be addressed was to bring together specialists from different areas of the composites market value chain to form a new and enthusiast steering committee. With this group of people we have redefined our vision and mission statement. Now we want to share our ideas with you and get your feedback! As the situation with Covid-19 is still obstructing the organization of live events, we will organize a virtual event on the 2nd March at 9 AM via GoToWebinar.
The new Agoria Composites invites you to its virtual launch event, where we will introduce ourselves and give a clear overview of how we want to position the business group centred around the Belgian composite technology in the national and international manufacturing landscape. |

| We proudly present, as our keynote speaker, the Belgian-American Engineer Prof Dr. Ir. Clement Hiel. Prior to launching his own business in engineered composite materials for fire and ballistic protection, he was a member of NASA’s engineering team. At NASA he designed, manufactured, tested, and certified innovative flight hardware for orbital and deep space missions and for manned spaceflight. He will focus his presentation on some of the hurdles one encounters when designing and manufacturing with composite materials. Prof. Hiel is a big believer in education! This has motivated him, during the past 30 years, to share his knowledge by teaching courses on composite materials design and manufacturing, and on design innovation at both the VUB and at UCLA(*). Additionally, he has won worldwide distinguished design awards and is a pioneer in structural assembly by means of snap-fit technology. He is also a “Commander in the Order of the Crown” of Belgium and a Fellow of SAMPE (Society of Advanced Materials and Process Engineers).

Next we will give the floor to Eric Moussiaux for a short introduction of the European Composites Industry Association (EuCIA).
During the last part of the webinar, we will open the floor for some interaction with a poll and some Q&A.
