OUR EDUCATION COMMITTEE'S 3RD TRAINING SESSION: CARBON FIBER

Following the protocol we signed with GEBKİM Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School (MTAL), the third training session we initiated to educate and inform the teachers who will be involved in composite applications in the newly established Composite Application Workshop about composite materials, was held online with our member DowAksa Advanced Composite Materials Industry Ltd. Co., as previously planned.

On January 26, 2021, under the chairmanship of Mr. Hakan Çelik, the Principal of GEBKİM MTAL, a training session was held with 9 chemistry teachers. Mr. Koray Özatay, Sales and Business Development Manager of DowAksa Advanced Composite Materials Industry Ltd. Co., a producer of carbon fiber, a crucial reinforcement material in the composite sector, moderated the session. Detailed information about DowAksa's activities was provided, and technical information regarding the production, performance, and applications of carbon fiber reinforcement materials was shared. Types of carbon fiber reinforcement materials and their application areas were introduced with examples.

The third phase of our planned basic training on composite raw materials, focusing on carbon fiber reinforcement materials, was supported by technical information notes shared with the teachers.
