Turbine blade production has resumed at İZBAŞ with Nordex.

Nordex Group restarted production at its facility in the İZBAŞ – İzmir Free Zone in April 2026. This step, following a break of approximately 8 months, represents a significant development for the Turkish wind energy industry.
The void created by the closure of the facility previously operated by TPI Composites is being filled with this investment.
- A significant number of wind farms in Türkiye use Nordex turbines.
- It also has a strong share in ongoing projects.
- With 16 GW of installed capacity, Türkiye ranks second in Europe after Germany.
Izmir continues to strengthen its position as a center for wind energy equipment thanks to its production infrastructure, skilled workforce, and logistical advantages.
In line with Türkiye's target of 45 GW for 2035, such investments that will increase domestic production capacity are critically important for the future of the sector.
