Akplast Polyester Plastic Industry and Trade Ltd. Co. started serving the construction sector in 1977 with the production of polyester tanks. Later, in line with the demands of the construction sector, it also turned to the production of glass fiber reinforced polyester sheets, GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic), and polyceramic cast bathtubs and shower trays.
In 1990, under the name Akpol Plastik Polietilen San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti., the company also started producing polyethylene tanks for storing drinking and utility water. In the following years, by expanding its polyethylene product range year after year, it began to produce not only water tanks but also tanks for storage, transportation, textiles, thermosiphons, olives, pickles, acids, pesticides, etc., as well as salt containers, garbage trucks, dustpans, pontoons, buoys, calf shelters, dog kennels, illuminated planters, sun loungers, armchairs, and decorative lamps.
