Founded in Istanbul in 1967 by Sami Tongün, Tongün is a family company. Today, the Tongün Group, comprising three separate companies, utilizes its approximately 45 years of knowledge and experience in its integrated facilities covering 30,000 m² in Gebze, manufacturing BMC-SMC raw materials and glass fiber reinforced polyester products. The company produces recessed and surface-mounted electrical, telecommunication, natural gas, and city distribution panels, meter panels, junction boxes for various applications, polyester-bodied, watertight socket, transparent-fronted pole-mounted street lighting fixtures, insulators, and various other products such as benches, manhole covers, and grates to meet the needs of numerous municipalities.
Tongün, which does not compromise on quality control practices in every process of production from raw materials to the final product, has also registered its production in accordance with national and international standards with product certificates such as TSE, UL, GOST-R, and ISO 9001-2008 & ISO 14001 Quality Management System certificates. Thanks to the quality that has become synonymous with the "Tongün" name worldwide, it offers its manufactured products to customers in Türkiye and around the world.
