OUR 4TH MEMBER MEETING WAS HELD.
The 4th member meeting of the Composite Manufacturers Association was held on January 14, 2020, at Istanbul Technopark, in collaboration with our member ArelPOTKAM, as part of a workshop titled "Polymeric Composites from Advanced Engineering Materials, Production Methods, Problems Encountered and Proposed Solutions," with the participation of nearly 70 industry professionals.
The workshop, which began with opening speeches by our Association President Mr. Barış Pakiş and ArelPOTKAM Director Ms. Yeşim Müge Şahin, continued with a presentation by our Association's General Secretary Mr. İsmail Hakkı Hacıalioğlu on "Volumetric and Value Sizes of the World and Turkish Composite Sector" and a presentation by Dr. İdris Kaynak from Uşak University on "Polymeric Composites from Advanced Engineering Materials, Production Methods, Problems Encountered and Solution Suggestions," moderated by Mr. Hacıalioğlu. The first session concluded with Mr. Kaynak answering questions at the end of his presentation. The second session of the workshop featured presentations by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tuncer Yalçınyuva from Istanbul University, our member Prof. Dr. İ. Ersan Kalafatoğlu from Marmara University, and Prof. Dr. from Yıldız Technical University, who is also an advisor to our Association's Board of Directors. Ahmet Ünal and Mr. Yalçın Yılmazkaya, the Secretary General of the Aviation and Space Cluster Association, delivered speeches outlining the problems and their views regarding the sector.
The workshop concluded with thanks from Mr. Barış Pakiş and Ms. Yeşim Müge Şahin to all participants. We extend our gratitude to all participants for their attendance and to ArelPOTKAM for their cooperation and contributions.
