6. OUR TRAINING TOPIC IS ORGANIC PEROXIDES

Following the protocol we signed with GEBKİM Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School (MTAL), the sixth training session we initiated to educate and inform the teachers who will be involved in composite applications in the newly established Composite Application Workshop about composite materials, was held online with our member Akpa Kimya Amb. San. ve Tic. A.Ş., as previously planned.

On February 23, 2021, under the chairmanship of Mr. Hakan Çelik, the Principal of GEBKİM MTAL, a training session was held with 8 chemistry teachers. Moderated by Mr. İsmail Hakkı Hacıalioğlu, the General Secretary of the Composite Manufacturers Association, the training featured a presentation by Ms. Demet Darcan, R&D Manager of Akpa Kimya Amb. San. ve Tic. A.Ş., a member company and producer of organic peroxides, initiators, and accelerators – a crucial raw material for the composite sector. Detailed information about Akpa Kimya's activities was provided, along with technical details on the production, performance, and applications of organic peroxides, initiators, and accelerators. The types and application areas of organic peroxides, initiators, and accelerators were presented with examples.

The sixth stage of our planned composite raw materials basic training, focusing on organic peroxides, initiators, and accelerators, was supported by technical information notes shared with the teachers.
