About the European Green Deal

Within the framework of the European Green Deal by the European Union, the goal is to complete the review process of existing requirements regarding packaging and packaging waste prevention measures, primarily the Packaging and Packaging Waste Control Regulation 94/62/EC, by the second quarter of 2021.

Regarding this process, it is stated that studies will be conducted on developing packaging designs to support recycling, increasing the use of recycled content in packaging, regulating excessive packaging use, and reducing packaging waste, and that the relevant legislation will be reviewed.
