Best Managed Companies Competition
Applications are still open for the 2020 “Best Managed Companies (BMC)” competition, conducted by Deloitte Turkey. The aim of the competition is to evaluate the management performance of companies within the framework of international best practices, to identify and develop the strengths of participating companies, and to contribute to the recognition of their company's capabilities by providing coaching to company leaders. Entries are made via the online form linked below. All applications are kept confidential, and the program is conducted in accordance with confidentiality and privacy principles.

Who can apply?
Businesses whose headquarters are in Türkiye and which meet the following criteria:
- Annual turnover exceeding 30 million TL
- At least 5 years of company history.
- Number of employees over 25
- Çoğunluk hisse (>%60) ya da kontrol Türkiye’de kurulu şirket veya T.C. vatandaşı şahıslara ait
- Not open to the public
- Excluded companies: Banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, cooperatives, all companies and their subsidiaries subject to Capital Markets Board regulations, subsidiaries of foreign companies in Türkiye, public institutions, foundations and non-governmental organizations and their subsidiaries.

| Strategy | Best-managed companies use proven methods in strategy development, implementing the strategy with a strong corporate culture, investing in measurement and evaluation of its progress, and regularly communicating the strategy internally and externally. |
| Competence and Innovation | The best-managed companies think differently from their competitors, focus on innovation and increased efficiency, improve their business skills through strategic partnerships, and aim to have the right people on their teams. |
| Culture and Commitment | Best-managed companies focus on team culture, reward desired behavior with effective performance appraisal systems, and establish a robust succession plan by investing in the next generation. |
| Governance and Finances | Best-managed companies have strong balance sheets and income statements, utilize key firm-specific metrics, and establish a mature reporting system that plays a vital role in making business decisions and maintaining strong communication with their shareholders. |
Competition stages:
- Application deadline: November 6, 2020 (Tomorrow!)
- Recognition and Evaluation: For companies that pass the first stage, a process begins where they are in-depth evaluated by Deloitte coaches based on criteria such as strategy, competency, commitment, and financial performance.
- Companies are evaluated by an independent jury according to internationally recognized standards, and the winners are notified.
- The winning companies will receive their awards at the Gala Ceremony.
