EU Green Deal Seminar

Our largest trading partner, the European Union, is undergoing a significant paradigm shift with its Green Deal. While this agreement will bring additional costs and market entry difficulties for our companies, early adaptation and positioning will open doors to new opportunities. The greatest advantage of plastics, in particular, is their significantly lower carbon footprint compared to alternatives. Alongside the government's efforts to limit the negative impacts of this process on our companies and prevent non-tariff barriers for Turkish exporters, we are also continuing our work in facilitating and sharing information to facilitate adaptation.
In this context, an event organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye was held on October 6, 2020. Key elements of the EU Green Deal: "Expectations for the Turkish Business World: Information Seminar"’We would like to inform you about the presentation given by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Nas, Secretary General of the Economic Development Foundation.
