European Green Deal Call Areas

The "European Green Deal," shared with the world public by the European Commission on December 11, 2019, sets out a new strategy for the transformation of EU industry by 2050.

In order to contribute to the realization of the objectives set out in this strategy and to support R&D and innovation efforts in this field, the European Commission is expected to launch the European Green Deal Call under the Horizon 2020 Programme in September 2020.

Accordingly, within the framework of the new call for proposals with a budget of 1 billion euros, 20 topics have been identified under 11 priority areas to address Europe's climate and environmental challenges. Research institutions, universities, financial institutions, investors, NGOs, national and local governments, social entrepreneurs, and individuals can apply to these calls.

A study regarding the areas to be supported under these calls and the call conditions has been prepared and is presented in the appendix.

As part of activities aimed at widely disseminating the European Green Deal Call to the national research ecosystem and enabling relevant stakeholders to benefit from this call to the maximum extent, an information and promotion day was organized on July 14, 2020, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and TÜBİTAK.
