Extension of the Termination Period of the Employment Contract by the Employer

According to the decisions published in the Official Gazette on July 31st, the duration of short-time work allowance has been extended by one month for workplaces that applied for short-time work by June 30, 2020 (inclusive).

Furthermore, Presidential Decree No. 2811 extended the provision regarding the prohibition of employers from terminating employment contracts without just cause, as per the first and second paragraphs of Article 10 of the Labor Law No. 4857 dated May 22, 2003, for another month starting from August 17th.
