The announcement from our member association, the Aviation and Space Cluster, dated September 8, 2020, is provided below.
1- Fairs where National Participation will be Ensured
Dear Company Representatives,
Our Presidency has begun preparatory work to determine the fairs in which "National Participation" will be ensured in 2021. In this context, you are expected to submit the preliminary request form attached in the Appendix, indicating the international defense industry fairs in which your company wishes to participate in 2021.
The requested information will be used to determine the potential Turkish Pavilion area, to reserve the necessary space for the Turkish Pavilion at the relevant fair until the fairs where national participation will be ensured are finalized, and to benefit from early booking advantages offered by the fair organizers. Therefore, while the participation request and the amount of space requested that you submit with the attached form are not binding, it is important that the requested information is filled out as accurately as possible.
You can also add other trade fairs that are not currently listed but that your company plans to participate in.

2. PMI Survey Form
Dear Member,
As is known, monthly publications called PMI ("Purchase Managers Index") are produced worldwide and in our country for sectoral and general economic analyses. The absence of a study containing this data for the Defense and Aerospace Sector, one of our country's critical and important sectors, is considered a deficiency by decision-makers, industrialists, and the media, and we are repeatedly asked to have such a study in addition to our Association's "Annual Sector Performance Report".
This study will also be used by the relevant Presidency and Boards and included in their evaluations.
In response to the high demand, a survey form was prepared and shared with our members via the message below. September 4, 2020 Members are expected to respond to the survey by [date].
To date, we have received responses from 15 of our members and 2 members of our cluster associations. Unfortunately, the profile and number of responses received are insufficient for the analysis of the sector. Therefore, we would like to inform you once again that we expect your support for this study, which we will conduct monthly, and that our survey be completed within the first week of each month.
The survey included in the appendix, Business hours for August 2020 must be completed by September 9, 2020 at the latest. answered within the specified time frame and sent to our General Secretariat via e-mail.ceren@sasad.org.trI respectfully submit this for your consideration.
3rd ICDDA 2020 (October 13-15, 2020)
Dear Member,
In Ankara, between October 13-15, 2020, with the support of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey's Defence Industries Directorate (SSB). face-to-face and online B2B meetings will be held ICDDA 2020 “Hybrid” Event, especially due to the increase in Covid-19 cases in our Ankara province It has been postponed to a later date.
