Innovations in the Project Evaluation System

Applications for the first period of 2020 for the "1001-Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program," administered by the Research Support Programs Directorate (ARDEB), began to be accepted on May 22, 2020.

Within the scope of the 1001 program, a specific budget is allocated for each application period, and projects are supported within this budget. In the 1001 program, project proposals are evaluated scientifically with equal weighting under the criteria of Originality, Methodology, Project Management, and Widespread Impact.

Çıktı ve etki odaklı süreç yönetimimiz kapsamında, 2020 yılı 1. dönem 1001 programında değerlendirilecek proje önerilerine aşağıdaki belirtilen kriterlerle göre toplam puanın %25’ine kadar ek puan verilecektir.

  • Output performance achieved by the project leader (if any) within the scope of previously supported projects (*)
  • Alignment with priority areas included in TÜBİTAK's call planning and an increase in Technology Readiness Level (TRL) (explanation will be requested in the application system)
  • To be the project leader on behalf of the relevant institution/organization in projects submitted to programs supported directly by European Commission grants under the Horizon 2020 Program.
  • Multidisciplinary / Interdisciplinary Projects
  • University-University Collaboration established within the scope of the project proposal.
  • University-Industry Collaboration established within the scope of the project proposal.

Project proposals will be ranked based on their panel score and any additional points received, resulting in a total score, and a decision on whether to grant funding will be made within the allocated budget.

(*) If the project leader has previously had a project(s) supported by ARDEB, it is necessary to ensure that the output information for the relevant project(s) is up-to-date on the ARDEB Project Tracking System.

We present this information to you and wish you all the best in your work.

Best regards

TÜBİTAK – Research Support Programs Directorate (ARDEB)
