Kordsa Expands Its Thermoplastic Prepreg Line

Kordsa (Izmit, Turkey) has expanded its thermoplastic prepreg line by processing woven carbon prepreg with polypropylene or polyamide resin matrices. The maximum dimensions of the products, offered as sheets, are 1.2 x 1.2 meters; the resin systems are specifically formulated by Kordsa. The company also states that the new technological products can be applied to the automotive and industrial sectors and are designed to help Kordsa achieve its goals of increasing fuel efficiency, reducing carbon emissions, and shortening production cycle times. Kordsa also offers epoxy, hybrid, cyanate ester, polyvinyl butyral (PVB), phenolic, and modified phenolic prepregs with various reinforcing fiber types, including carbon, glass, aramid, and hybrid.
