Herkim A.Ş. was founded in 1981 by Hasan Ömer in İzmir, one of Türkiye's important port cities and industrial centers. Since 1987, it has been operating in the Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone, one of Türkiye's leading industrial zones.
Herkim, one of Türkiye's leading companies in the production of paints and unsaturated polyester resins, serves the sector with its specialized staff, R&D support, and technological investments in industrial paints, anti-corrosion paints (epoxy, etc.), furniture paints, colorants and varnishes, construction paints, and unsaturated polyester production. As a result of the collaboration with the Italian company GM Mega SpA in 1996, Herkim A.Ş. became a significant local producer in the field of anti-corrosion paints (ships, containers, etc.).
Since 1999, Herkim A.Ş. has been manufacturing and distributing the world's most prestigious products, particularly furniture paints, preservatives, and colorants, from the Swedish-based "Becker Acroma" brand for Turkey and Middle Eastern countries.
Continuing its service with a product range further strengthened by the acquisition of the Becker Acroma group by Sherwin-Williams in 2011, Herkim A.Ş. brings the experience of Sherwin-Williams, which operates in 109 countries worldwide, to Turkish users.
