Regulation on the Control of Waste Imports

Regarding the Revision of the Communiqué on the Control of Imports of Wastes Subject to Control for Environmental Protection Purposes.

With the revision made to the Communiqué on Import Control of Wastes Subject to Control for Environmental Protection Purposes (Product Safety and Inspection: 2021/3), published in the Official Gazette dated 31/12/2020 and numbered 31351 (fourth supplement), the import of product group with HS Code 3915.10.00.00.00 has been added to the prohibited list.

The circular states that "The import of waste with HS Code 3915.10.00.00.00 shall be finalized in accordance with the provisions prior to the amendments made by the circular establishing this article, for a period of 45 days from the date this article enters into force." This provision establishes a 45-day transition period.
