Supplier Information on the Nuclear Industry

As is known, work continues on the construction of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), which will consist of a total of four reactors, initiated under the intergovernmental agreement signed between our country and the Russian Federation in 2010. Construction of the reactor building for the first unit of the plant began on April 3, 2018, and for the second unit on April 9, 2020. It is planned that the first unit will be completed and begin generating electricity by 2023, and the other units will be completed one year apart by the end of 2026.
Tenders for the construction of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant are conducted by Akkuyu Nuclear Inc., the owner and operator of the plant, and Titan2-IC İçtaş İnşaat A.Ş., a joint venture of Turkish and Russian companies serving as the main contractor, in accordance with Rosatom's (Russian state nuclear energy company) tender rules. In this context, informing potential Turkish suppliers about the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant Project and its tender rules, and bringing them together with the main contractor, is of great importance in terms of increasing domestic participation in the Project.
