About the Electron Accelerator and Radiation Facility

The Electron Accelerator and Radiation Facility (TARLA), which is our country's first national accelerator-based research infrastructure, https://tarla.org.tr/This facility, which produces a high-current and high-energy electron beam and secondary radiations from this beam, is under construction and is on its way to becoming the first accelerator-based research infrastructure in our country and region.
TARLA, which is being established to contribute to the academic and industrial development of the country and the region, is in the design phase of application stations for the secondary beams to be obtained from the accelerator, and the goal is to structure these stations in a way that is suitable for both academic studies and industrial applications.
TARLA, which is planned to become operational gradually starting in 2020, will enable Türkiye to take its place on the world map in the field of advanced research. Access to the interdisciplinary advanced technological research opportunities that the facility will house and its inclusion in the network with other international centers are of great importance for the gains of our academics and industrialists.
The facility, which is under construction and has a very high benchmark value, is still in the procurement phase for many of its components. The goal is to source most of the medium-high and high-tech machinery, equipment, software, and hardware, for which a budget of approximately 100 million Turkish Lira is foreseen, from domestic companies.
Within this context, a one-day workshop is planned for Tuesday, November 19, 2019, to discuss the products needed by the facility and which can be manufactured domestically, and to exchange information on how the private sector can benefit from the facility's advanced engineering infrastructure. The workshop is expected to be attended by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, Mr. M. Fatih Kacır, as well as senior executives from leading institutions and organizations in our country.
Due to logistical limitations, we can only accept a limited number of applications. We look forward to the participation of our valued industrialists who are interested in our ongoing work in TARLA in the coming period, and we wish you successful work.
