About the D-8 Project Support Fund
The Developing Eight (D-8) Economic Cooperation Organization, comprising Turkey, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Egypt, Nigeria, and Pakistan, is an organization established in 1997 to promote development cooperation among member countries and enrich economic and social relations.
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) is a founding member of the D-8 Chambers of Commerce and Industry (D-8 CCI), which was established within the framework of the D-8. Within the scope of Turkey's D-8 presidency, TOBB also chairs the D-8 CCI.
At the 9th D-8 Summit held on October 20, 2017, the idea of creating a Project Support Fund to be used in D-8 project activities emerged.
In this context, referring to the Note received from the D-8 Secretariat, measures will be taken for the implementation of projects and programs within the D-8 framework. The D-8 Project Support Fund was established to support preliminary feasibility and feasibility studies. It is stated that D-8 member countries wishing to benefit from this Fund should submit their project proposals to the D-8 Secretariat.
The project to be selected by the D-8 Commission must include at least 3 D-8 member countries. For preliminary and feasibility studies, the D-8 is expected to provide funding of up to €20,000 per project, with an implementation period of no more than 12 months.
Once the feasibility study and reporting for the selected project are completed, funding for project implementation will be provided by D-8.
The D-8 Project Support Fund Application Specifications and Project Proposal Form are available on the TOBB website.www.tobb.org.trThe Project Proposal Form can be accessed from the International Business Opportunities/Overseas Events section under the "Services" heading in the right-hand panel, and companies wishing to benefit from this Fund should fill out the Project Proposal Form and submit it to the D-8 Secretariat representative (Mr. Sheikh Mohammad Moinuddin, IT Expert, Email: admin@developing8.org; Mobile: 0506 395 61 83).
