Sabancı University Digital Transformation Survey

Presented under the coordination of Sabancı University, in partnership with Kocaeli Chamber of Industry (KOSANO), Bursa Industrialists and Businessmen Association (BÜSİAD), Composite Manufacturers Association, SAHA Istanbul, Teknopark Istanbul and East Marmara Development Agency (MARKA), “Direct Digital Manufacturing Platform (DiMAP)” The project is implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Technology with co-financing from the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye. IPA Competitive Sectors Programme The project proposal call process has been successfully completed, and preparatory work for the project's implementation has begun. Priority will be given to manufacturing companies that participated in the survey when selecting firms wishing to benefit from the project activities. Companies included in the platform will be informed of the organized events. These companies will be evaluated with extra points in training and demonstration activities.

About the DiMAP project: The DiMAP project aims to develop Additive Manufacturing processes supported by data-driven intelligent production and quality control systems, enabling the direct production of complex and functional products with desired specifications. The main outcome of the project will be the transformation of companies, especially SMEs, into digitalized and additive manufacturing through training, consultancy, prototyping, and demonstration activities, and their attainment of EU standards. About Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing): Eklemeli (katmanlı) imalat metal, plastik, kompozit ve organik malzemeler kullanılarak objelerin üç boyutlu (3B) geometrik verilerine göre oluşturulan katmanlarının üst üste eklenmesi prensibine dayanan pratik bir imalat yöntemidir. Üç boyutlu baskı makineleri ile hızlı prototipleme ürün geliştirme sürelerinin kısalması ve pazara erişim süresinde %20-50 oranında kısalma sağlanması beklenmektedir.
