Points to consider:
• Please review the relevant Competition Rules or Website before applying. FAQ The page should be reviewed.
• A team can apply for more than one category in the same competition. However, they must submit a separate application for each competition they wish to participate in.
• A person can be a member of more than one team. To compete in different categories in the same competition, separate applications must be submitted.
• The educational level of the team member with the highest level of education should be written as the team level. The school of that team member can be written as the team's school.
• Applicants must introduce their teams in their Team Profile. This may include the team's founding year, purpose, and information about team members. It should also mention the team members' departments and classes; the division of labor within the team; previous competitions participated in; and any awards and achievements received. Visuals may also be used. Advisor information should be provided. The Team Profile should be a summary of your team profile. It should include the project name, and if a name is desired for the product designed within the scope of the competition, that should be included. The Project Profile should briefly describe the planned processes and methods to be used in line with the competition's objectives.
• Unless otherwise specified in the regulations, teams are not required to have an academic advisor. Prior to March 31, 2018, information regarding the requirement for an academic advisor was provided in the competition email groups. However, due to perceived necessity, TEKNOFEST Management has relaxed this requirement. Nevertheless, for the sake of more organized and authoritative work, and to ensure support requests are met more favorably, TEKNOFEST Management strongly recommends participating in the competition with an academic advisor. The role of the academic advisor is to supervise the team's work, guide the team leader and the team, and approve the team's documents before submitting them to the competition committee. On the other hand, the academic advisor should not design on behalf of the team, directly propose designs to the team, advise multiple teams for a single competition, or manage the team's operations on the day of the competition.
• Your advisors are not required to sign any documents. However, if you are participating representing an institution, you must have permission from that institution. Furthermore, parental consent is required for high school teams (and for university teams if there are underage members). Obtaining these permissions is usually done under the supervision of the advisors. Your advisors should be aware that they assume full responsibility, just like team members, in case of any issues before or after the competition.
• Teams can make any changes to their team members before the final application deadline. To do this, they simply need to access the competition application page by clicking the link in the confirmation email they receive immediately after submitting their application. Teams can make any changes to their team information on their application page. Teams that do not receive a confirmation email can inform Teknofest management and request the necessary link to access their application page. After the application period ends, it is not possible to add or remove members.
• For the travel and accommodation requests of the finalist teams in the TEKNOFEST Technology Competitions, a form will be sent after the finalist teams are selected, and requests will be collected through this form. Action will be taken based on the evaluation of the forms. TEKNOFEST Management does not make a definitive commitment in this regard.
