Technology User and Technology Supplier

The aim of the program is..., Large-scale companies that are technology users, The program allows Technology Providers in Türkiye to apply with their products and/or services that can contribute to digital transformation in industry, based on a problem, need, or opportunity area they specifically define, and enables matched users and suppliers to work together to achieve joint development. Within this framework, the goal is to match SME-level Technology Providers with working prototypes with large-scale Technology Users to enable them to verify their customers. While the program envisages that each Technology User will be matched with one Supplier company selected by their Project team within the scope of their Call for Proposals, it is possible in principle for a User to work with more than one Supplier for the solution with the approval of all parties. Each Technology Supplier participating in the program can only apply for a single problem, need, or opportunity area defined by a Technology User and can ultimately only be matched with one Technology User. If a Technology Supplier submits more than one application, each application exceeding one will be automatically eliminated by the system.

Who can apply?

  • Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with legal personality as defined in the Turkish Commercial Code, that have developed a working prototype product or service in the following areas, but not limited to, may apply.
    • Augmented Reality
    • Cloudy
    • Big Data and Analytics
    • Additive Manufacturing and Advanced Materials
    • Industrial Internet
    • Robotics and Automation
    • Sensors
    • Cybersecurity
    • Simulation
    • Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems
    • Horizontal/Vertical Integration
    • Other
  • Other criteria that may be considered preferable include the technology supplier having benefited from government support or holding patents or utility models.
  • Each Technology Supplier participating in the program can only apply for a single issue, need, or opportunity area defined by a single Technology User and will ultimately only be matched with one Technology User. If a Technology Supplier submits more than one application, each application exceeding one will be automatically rejected by the system.
  • In cases where solutions proposed by multiple Technology Suppliers can only be combined to address a problem, need, or opportunity defined by a Technology User, a maximum of 3 Technology Suppliers may jointly submit a single application (as a consortium or partnership, etc.) for a single Technology User's problem, need, or opportunity, provided that all parties consent and agree. In this case, each Technology Supplier's right to apply is exhausted; neither Technology Supplier company that submitted a joint application may make a second application under the Program.
  • A Technology Supplier cannot apply to a call for proposals from the group of companies to which it belongs. If it is determined that the Technology Supplier and the Technology User are under the same group of companies, this will constitute an obstacle to matching.

Application

  • Technology users identify problem/need/opportunity areas.
  • Technology suppliers (whose products/services match the requirements defined by the technology user) submit their applications.

Preliminary Round

  • Compliance with the technical specifications and technology user calls will be evaluated.
  • The Technology User selects (up to 10) Technology Suppliers who can be potential solution partners to be invited to the STEP program.

Industry-Technology Advanced Integration Program (STEP)

  • They will be holding expert talks, themed panels, and networking sessions.
  • Technology users will be matched with Technology Suppliers selected at the end of the "Preliminary Selection" process through interviews.
  • These pairings will be announced to the public at the networking cocktail event.

One-on-One Study Period

  • During the One-on-One Work Period, Technology Users will have at least 6 meetings with their matched Supplier and create a Solution File together.
  • The solution files created at the end of the One-on-One Study Period will be evaluated by independent juries.

Jury Evaluation

  • The solution files created by technology user and supplier companies during the one-on-one working period are presented to a jury consisting of leading business people and academics in Türkiye, and the success category is determined.

TÜSİAD Digital Transformation in Industry Success Stories Ceremony

  • Suppliers who were selected by the jury from among those who could prepare a solution file will be invited to the ceremony to present their solution file on stage, along with their matched users.
  • Solution files that meet the criteria will be announced.
  • Solution file presentations will be given.
  • The awarding of the achievement plaque will take place.
