Meet our instructor. Ahmet Orhon was born in Ankara in 1987. After graduating with honors from Bilkent University, Faculty of Business Administration, he began his career in 2009 at McKinsey & Company, a management and strategy consulting firm. Following three years at McKinsey, primarily in Turkey, China, and Australia, Orhon was accepted to Harvard Business School (HBS) for his MBA in 2012, graduating with distinction in 2014. During his time there, he served as President of the HBS Public Speaking and Negotiation Club and as the HBS International Student Representative. After two years at Harvard, Orhon returned to McKinsey, transferring to the Dubai office. For six years there, he focused his work on the private sector and family businesses, leading McKinsey's projects in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) region in the Retail and Consumer Goods and Mobility and Automotive sectors. During this period, Orhon provided training in leadership, communication, and project management both within McKinsey and for its clients, while also focusing on the restructuring of family businesses and executive orientation and training. After leaving McKinsey as an Associate Partner at the beginning of 2020, Orhon returned to Türkiye after spending 10 years abroad. Currently working on his own business ideas, Orhon also provides consulting and training services to large companies. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Bilkent University Faculty of Business Administration and teaches Strategy and Leadership at the same faculty. Having traveled to 110 countries and given over 30 talks, including one TedX presentation, Orhon is also producing an independent film scheduled for release in 2021. |
